GWT and closures talk

I spoke the other day at the Sydney Java Users Group on my experiences with GWT, and I then attempted the dodgiest segway into the closures debate, with some examples in a variety of JVM languages (Scala, scheme, jython etc).

Anyway, here are the slides. I believe it was video'd too, as the slides won't make a whole lot of sense without the context (I did a lot of live coding).

My opinion on the closures debate depends on what mood I am in, and how much I am prepared to argue with people (in general I think the Java language needs a LOT of work, and it should happen, breaking backwards source capability if necessary).
